Net Zero Vermont Inc. is proud to announce we will be hosting public presentations by the top five finalist teams for the Sustainable Montpelier 2030 Design Competition on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the Pavilion Building Auditorium. Seating is limited and advance registration is encouraged for this free event.
At the event, each of the design teams will make a 15-minute presentation of their ideas, followed by a 10-minute question and answer period with the audience. Voting will begin at 5:00 p.m., immediately after the presentations. Voting continues online until midnight, January 12.
TOP 5 FINALISTS
The finalists presenting (in alphabetical order) are:
- Gossens Temkin Collaborative: Montpelier, VT. Consists of Gregg Gossens, AIA, Aron Temkin, AIA, and David Burke..
- Scott + Partners: Essex Junction, VT. Lead by Joel Page, AIA..
- Team Bridges: Cabot, VT is a group of 15 professionals from 10 companies and organizations.
- White + Arup: Gothenburg, Sweden
- Wiemann Lamphere Architects: Colchester, VT
The five presenting teams are the result of a selection process that started in October with votes by Montpelier residents, workers, and visitors at a pop-up Main Street gallery and online, along with a review by a technical committee.
$10K WINNER’S PRIZE
The $10,000 prize for the winner of the Sustainable Montpelier 2030 Design Competition is sponsored by NetZero Vermont with seed funding from five sponsors: AllEarth Renewables, Ben & Jerry’s, Vermont Creamery, National Life Group, and VSECU.
